Line Pressure Checks
- With transmission fluid at correct level and operating temperature, and pressure gauge installed as previously described, line pressure can be checked. See Fig 2
.
- With vehicle stationary, service brakes applied (except as noted), check line pressures using range and RPM conditions listed in Line Pressures Table. See Fig 2
.
- Total running time when performing combination of, Low or "2" @ 1000 RPM and Reverse @ 1000 RPM tests, must not exceed 2 minutes. See Fig 2
.
- When stationary testing is complete, perform Drive @ 30 MPH Test, with vehicle on road or with vehicle raised on hoist and brakes released. Raise engine speed to 3000 RPM. Close throttle. Read pressure between 1200-2000 RPM. See Fig 2
