Atmospheric Leak Check
- Apply a liberal coating of soapy solution to threaded screw seal and vacuum connector pipe seam at crimped upper-to-lower housing seam.
- Using a short piece of rubber hose, apply air pressure to vacuum pipe by blowing into hose and check for leak bubbles. If bubbles appear, replace modulator.
CAUTION:
DO NOT
use any method other than human lung power for applying air pressure. Pressures over 6 psi (.4 kg/cm2
) may damage modulator.
