Preliminary Checks
- Ensure battery is fully charged and alternator drive belt is properly adjusted. Never disconnect battery, alternator or regulator with engine running.
- DO NOT ground field terminal "EX". This terminal is connected to the voltage regulator by a Green wire. Always disconnect battery if alternator is removed or installed.
