SERVICE INFORMATION
To determine the cause of a no start condition, the test procedure included (shown in Fig. Fig 1 ) in this bulletin must be performed prior to any battery replacements.
In order to perform this test procedure, the following Service Publication and Technical Bulletins will be needed for reference:
- Technical Bulletin Section 86, No. 104
- Technical Bulletin Section 86, No. 68
If battery replacement is necessary, install battery DBC 5995 (white), which supersedes battery JLM 9992 (blue).

If the engine starts when testing to confirm a no start condition, refer back to the original customer complaint and then determine the appropriate action as per this test procedure.
