Air Injection System: Notes

The air injection system is used during warm-up to reduce emissions. The engines are equipped with oxygen sensor equipped feedback system, so air injection cannot be used while oxygen sensor is operating. The XJS system includes a thermal switch, check valve, air injection switching module, air switching valve, check valve, diverter valve, air rails and air pump. The XJ6 system includes air pump, air pump magnetic clutch, air pump clutch relay, air injection check valve, vacuum control solenoid, vacuum delay valve and diverter valve.
