Ignition Timing Control System: XJ6

Ignition timing is controlled by the ECU. The ECU receives information from the crankshaft sensor and airflow meter. The ECU uses this input to access mapped data stored in 128 memory locations containing ignition timing angles for 8 different engine loads at 16 different speeds.
