Alternator Output
- Disconnect B lead from battery terminal. Connect an ammeter between disconnected lead and alternator B terminal. Refer to Fig 1.

- Switch on all loads (except wipers) for one minute to discharge battery. Start and run engine at normal charging speed. Ammeter should indicate maximum output (115 amps).
- If low output is obtained, continue with tests. If no output is obtained, remove for bench testing of disassembled alternator (continuity and resistance of rotor and stator).
