Section 2 (Engine Controls - Pin Voltage Charts): Introduction

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 1993 Jaguar XJ6, 1992 Jaguar XJ6, 1991 Jaguar XJ6, 1990 Jaguar XJ6, and 1989 Jaguar XJ6. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: Unless stated otherwise in testing procedures, perform all voltage tests using a Digital Volt-Ohmmeter (DVOM) with a minimum 10-megohm input impedance. Voltage readings may vary slightly due to battery condition or charging rate.

Pin voltage charts are supplied to reduce diagnostic time. Checking pin voltages at Engine Control Module (ECM) determines whether it is receiving and transmitting proper input and output signals. Charts may also help determine if ECM wiring harness is shorted or open.
