DTC P0411: Air Injection System Insufficient Air Flow
NOTE:
After each repair, clear DTCs. See CLEARING CODES/PCM RESET PROCEDURE
under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. Turn ignition off and then on. Read DTCs to verify repair is complete. For DLC and PCM connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION
. For wiring diagrams, see WIRING DIAGRAMS
.
- Using scan tool, read DTCs. If DTC P0411 is present, turn ignition off. Ensure air injection relay harness and connectors are not damaged and connections are okay. Repair as necessary. If harness and connectors are okay, go to next step.
- Check air injection pipe for leaks or blockage. Repair as necessary. Disconnect air injection relay harness connector. Using DVOM, check for continuity of White/Black wire (XJR and XJ6) or Purple/Yellow wire (XJS) between air injection relay connector terminal and air injection pump connector terminal No. 2. Check continuity across air injection pump connector terminals No. 1 and 2. Check continuity of Black wire between air injection pump connector terminal No. 3 and ground. Repair wiring as necessary. If wiring is okay, go to next step.
- Check air injection relay and pump operation. Replace as necessary. If relay and pump are okay, clear DTCs. Turn ignition off and then on. Read DTCs. If DTC P0411 is not present, repair is complete. If DTC P0411 is present, replace PCM.
