DTC P1315: Persistent Misfire

NOTE: After each repair, clear DTCs. See CLEARING CODES/PCM RESET PROCEDURE under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. Turn ignition off and then on. Read DTCs to verify repair is complete. NOTE: DTC P1315 will not activate the CHECK ENGINE MIL light on 1995 models. If DTC P1315 is set, one or more of the individual cylinder identification DTCs (P0301-P0306) will also be set.

Using scan tool, read DTCs. If DTC P1315 is present, check for DTCs P0301-P0306 already recorded and repair as necessary. See DTCS P0301-P0306: MISFIRE CYLINDER DETECTED . Clear DTCs and perform service drive cycles to verify repair. See SERVICE DRIVE CYCLE under DRIVE CYCLES. Read DTCs. If DTC P1315 is present, replace PCM.
