Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor (6.0L)

The 6.0L is equipped with 2 MAP sensors. Sensors are located on rear side of each intake manifold (toward firewall). One on the left intake manifold and one on the right intake manifold. MAP sensors measure the absolute pressure in each intake manifold and send this information as a voltage signal to the PCM. The PCM uses this information to control engine timing, fuel vapor purging and emission control.
