Remote Climate Control Module - RHD: Removal
- Position the driver's seat fully rearward
- Position the steering column DOWN and fully EXTENDED
- Disconnect the battery ground lead
- Lower steering column cowl; refer to STEERING COLUMN LOWER SHROUD .
- Upper steering column cowl; refer to STEERING COLUMN UPPER SHROUD .
- Knee bolster, driver's side; refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL LOWER TRIM PANEL .
- Position the steering in the 'straight ahead'
- Disconnect ALL (6) multiplugs attached to the upper column bracket
- Disconnect the airbag multiplug
- Detach the steering column - upper
- Remove the bolts (2) upper mounting bracket. (1)
- Detach the steering column - upper
- Remove the pinch bolt (1) intermediate to upper column. (1)
- Remove the bolt (1) lower fixing. (2)
- Remove the nut (1) lower fixing. (3)
- Remove the column assembly from the vehicle
- Remove the duct-driver footwell
- Remove screw (1)
- Remove the key transponder module
- Remove the screws (2) module to fascia bracket. (1)
- Disconnect the multiplug. (2)
- Reposition the transponder to gain access
- Remove the illumination module
- Release the module from its location. (1)
- Disconnect the multiplug. (2)
- Remove the plenum brace
- Remove the bolt (1) tunnel fixing. (1)
- Remove the bolt (1) upper fixing. (2)
- Slide the diagnostic socket off the brace. (3)
- Slacken the A/CCM upper fixing using a 'Snap-On' SDP 11 stubby screwdriver, or similar
- Remove the A/CCM
- Remove the lower fixings (2), A/CCM to heater / cooler case. (1)
- Reposition the A/CCM to disconnect (4) multiplugs. (2)
