Engine Backflushing

- Remove the thermostat before backflushing the engine. Refer to Thermostat - Removal and Installation (Vehicles Without: Supercharger) or Thermostat - Removal and Installation (Vehicles With: Supercharger) .
- Position the high-pressure water hose into the engine through the engine return and backflush the engine.
- Connect a suitable hose pipe to the upper coolant hose connection of the engine.
- Turn the water supply valve to the hose ON and allow water pressure to flow through the engine.
- Allow water pressure to flow through the engine for approximately five minutes.
- Turn the water supply valve to the hose OFF and disconnect the hose pipe from the upper coolant hose connection of the engine.
- Connect the upper coolant hose to the engine.
- Fill the cooling system as described using a 50% mixture of Jaguar Premium Cooling System Fluid or equivalent, meeting Jaguar specification WSS M97B44-D and 50% distilled water.
