Restraints Control Module (RCM): Removal
- Connect WDS to the vehicle and up-load the relevant data.
- Remove the cover and disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to SPECIFICATIONS information.
- Make the SRS system safe. Refer to Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) Health and Safety Precautions .
- Remove the keyless vehicle antenna. Refer to Keyless Vehicle Antenna information.
- Remove the restraints control module (RCM).
NOTE:
If the SRS component is to be replaced, the bar code of the new unit must be recorded.
NOTE:
The RCM will record and store impact data. The module must be replaced when three records are noted.
