ISSUE
Customer reports AC not cold.
CAUSE
Unknown. No apparent leak path detected.
ACTION
Should a customer report the concern as above:-
Content
- Verify that the AC system is working correctly/incorrectly.
- If incorrect, run the vehicle for 3-4 mins with full cold settings selected and at idle.
- Using SDD please record the evaporator temperature reading and system pressures.
- If the evaporator temperature is above 5 Deg C and or with the AC manifold gauge set equipment connected both gauges do not indicate 413-551 kPa (60-80 psi) at 24°C (75°F) with the engine off, carry out diagnostics as per TOPIx section 4 Electrical, 412-00 General Information.
- If little or no pressure is indicated, carry out the air conditioning (A/C) system leak, recovery, evacuation and charging procedure.
- If the refrigerant has to be recovered from the HVAC system prior to repair and refill record the quantity of refrigerant removed.
- Raise an ePQR report and include evaporator temp, AC system pressure readings and refrigerant quantity recovered on the report.
