HVAC Control Module

The HVAC Control Module processes inputs from the Touch Screen (TS), the Integrated Control Panel (ICP) and the system sensors. In response to these inputs, the HVAC outputs control signals to the Air Conditioning (A/C) system and the heating and ventilation system.

Three electrical connectors provide the interface between the HVAC and the vehicle wiring. The HVAC uses hardwired inputs from the system sensors, the Local Interconnect Network (LIN) bus to communicate with the recirculation, temperature blend, distribution and center face vent motors, and the High Speed (HS) Controller Area Network (CAN) comfort systems bus to communicate with other control modules on the vehicle.
