Alternator Stator
- Using an ohmmeter, check resistance across each of 3 stator wire connections. Connect test leads across all combinations (A to B, B to C and A to C). See Fig 1.
- Resistance across any combination of the stator wires should not exceed 0.1 ohms on 60-amp stators, or 0.08 ohms on 70-amp stators. Replace stator is resistance exceeds these values.
