Towing (With Ignition Key)

1. On CJ7, Grand Wagoneer, Scrambler and Trucks, turn ignition key to the "OFF" position. Shift transmission into Park (Neutral) and transfer case into Neutral. Turn locking hubs into "LOCK" position, if equipped.
2. On Grand Wagoneer or Truck with Select-Trac, shift the transmission into Neutral with the vehicle moving slowly (2-3 MPH). Using a firm, positive movement, shift the transfer case selector lever into Neutral.
3. When the selector lever is in the Neutral position, both axles are disconnected from the drive train. This will permit the vehicle to be towed without removing the drive shafts.
