Ignition Timing
NOTE:
Engines are equipped with a receptacle for a magnetic probe timing light, located 9.5 degrees ATDC. Do not use this location for timing with a conventional light.
Warm engine to normal operating temperature and allow to idle. Disconnect and plug distributor vacuum advance hose. Check ignition timing. To adjust timing, loosen distributor clamp bolt and turn distributor. Tighten distributor clamp bolt and recheck timing. Unplug and reconnect vacuum advance hose.
