Instrument Cluster - Wrangler: Notes

  1. FUSE

    Turn ignition switch to RUN

    Test gauges fuse. Replace if blown.

    Measure voltage at battery side of gauges fuse. If battery voltage is not register, repair open from ignition switch.

  2. GAUGE PACKAGE GROUND

    Separate instrument cluster connector from gauge package.

    Measure resistance from instrument cluster connector terminal 3 to a clean chassis ground. If any resistance is present, repair open to ground.

  3. GAUGE PACKAGE

    Turn ignition switch to RUN.

    Measure voltage at instrument cluster connector terminals 2 & 5. If battery voltage is not present, repair open to fuse panel.

NOTE: If the voltmeter and oil pressure gauges are inoperative, an open exits in the jumper wire from gauge package terminal 2 to 5.
