Bulb, Bulb Socket

Headlamp switch in HEAD fro voltage test; headlamp switch OFF for resistance test; illumination rheostat/switch ON; indicator lamp panel connector separated from indicator panel.

Measure resistance across bulb terminal. Zero (0) ohms should be present (except filament resistance). If not, replace bulb.

Measure voltage at battery side of bulb terminal. If battery voltage is not present, replace printed circuit.

Measure resistance from ground side of bulb terminal to indicator lamp panel terminal 3. Resistance reading should be zero (0), If not, repair open between indicator lamp panel connector and ground.
