Air Cleaner - Thermostatic: Description
The thermostatic Air Cleaner (TAC) system provides heated air for the fuel intake system during engine warm-up. The vacuum operated air valve in the air cleaner blends outside air and heated air to give optimum engine performance and emission control. The system consists of a heat stove, a heated air tube, a bi-metal air temperature sensor, and a vacuum motor operated air valve. An additional thermal check valve and reverse delay valve is used on 2.5L systems.
