Ignition Key-In Switch
- Unplug steering column connector from instrument panel wiring. Open the driver's door. Check for continuity between cavity "E" (Black/Light Blue wire) in instrument panel half of steering column connector and a good ground. There should be continuity. If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, repair circuit to driver's door jamb switch as required.
- Insert ignition key in ignition lock cylinder. Check for continuity between cavities "E" (Pink wire) and "F" Black wire) in steering column connector. There should be continuity until key is removed. If continuity is as specified, go to next step. If continuity is not as specified, repair steering column wiring or replace key-in switch as required.
- Check for continuity between cavity "F" (Light Blue wire) in instrument panel half of steering column connector and cavity for terminal No. 6 of buzzer module connector. See Figure . There should be continuity. If continuity does not exist, repair circuit from switch to buzzer module as required.
