Intake Air Temperature Sensor

  1. Disconnect manifold air temperature sensor. Using DVOM, check sensor resistance. Resistance should be as specified in COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR & INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE SENSOR RESISTANCE table above. If resistance is not as specified, replace sensor.
  2. Check resistance between PCM wiring harness terminal No. 21 (Black/Red wire) and sensor connector terminal. Also check resistance between PCM wiring harness terminal No. 4 (Black/Light Blue wire) and sensor connector terminal. Repair wiring if resistance is greater than one ohm.
