Memory Seat Test 3A - Seat Belt Status Not Received
NOTE:
Perform MEMORY SEAT TEST 1A
before proceeding. For connector terminal ID, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION
and WIRING DIAGRAM. Perform TEST VER-3A
after each repair.
CAUTION:
Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting any module connector. Ensure all connectors are clean and tight.
- Using scan tool, read BCM S-BELT status. If scan tool displays BCM S-BELT STATUS: NO RESP, replace Body Control Module (BCM). BCM is located under left side of dash. If scan tool does not display BCM S-BELT STATUS: NO RESP, go to next step.
- Unbuckle driver's seat belt. Using scan tool, read BCM S-BELT status. If scan tool displays BCM S-BELT STATUS: BUCKLED, go to CHIME TEST 7A . If scan tool does not display BCM S-BELT STATUS: BUCKLED, go to next step.
- Using scan tool, read BCM S-BELT status. If scan tool displays SEAT BELT STATUS MESSAGE NOT RCVD, replace memory seat module. If scan tool does not display SEAT BELT STATUS MESSAGE NOT RCVD, replace BCM.
