Interior Lighting Test 3A - Courtesy Lights Inoperative From Headlight Switch

NOTE: Perform INTERIOR LIGHTING TEST 1A  before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal identification, refer to CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  . For wiring diagrams, refer to WIRING DIAGRAMS  . After each repair, perform TEST VER-1A  .
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting any module connector. Ensure all connectors are clean and tight.
  1. Ensure ignition switch is off and all doors are closed. Disconnect headlight switch connector. Using scan tool in ohmmeter mode, measure resistance at terminal No. 2 (Black wire) headlight switch connector. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open in Black wire. If resistance is 5 ohms or less, go to next step.
  2. Connect a jumper wire between terminal No. 3 (Pink/Light Blue wire) on headlight switch connector and ground. If courtesy lights illuminate, replace headlight switch. If courtesy lights do not illuminate, go to next step.
  3. Backprobe a jumper wire between terminal No. 6 (Pink/Light Blue wire) on Body Control Module (BCM) Black 24-pin connector and ground. Do not disconnect BCM connector. BCM is located under left side of dash. See Figure in CHIME TEST 3A.If courtesy lights illuminate, repair open in Pink/Light Blue wire. If courtesy lights do not illuminate, replace BCM.
