Test 14C - Bus Short To 5 Volts

  1. Turn ignition off. Using external ohmmeter, measure resistance between terminals C8 (Brown/White wire) and C10 (Violet/Brown wire) on Automatic Temperature Control (ATC) head connector. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair short between Brown/White wire and Violet/Brown wire. If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, go to next step.
  2. Measure resistance between terminals C8 (Brown/White wire) and C11 (White/Black wire) on ATC connector. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair short between Brown/White wire and White/Black wire. If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, replace ATC head.
NOTE: For connector terminal identification, refer to CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  . For wiring diagrams, refer to WIRING DIAGRAMS  . After each repair, perform TEST VER-1A  .
CAUTION: Always turn ignition off prior to disconnecting any module connector.
