Any CCD Cluster Warning Light Not Operating
- Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, select ELECTRO/MECH CLUSTER. If scan tool displays BUS OPERATIONAL, go to next step. If scan tool displays any other message, see appropriate VEHICLE COMMUNICATIONS article. If scan tool displays NO RESPONSE , see appropriate VEHICLE COMMUNICATIONS article.
- Using scan tool, select BODY, then BODY COMPUTER. Select SYSTEM TEST, then PCM MONITOR. If scan tool displays PCM ACTIVE ON THE BUS, go to next step. If scan tool does not display PCM ACTIVE ON THE BUS, see appropriate VEHICLE COMMUNICATIONS article.
- Ensure ignition is off. Push and hold trip odometer reset button. Turn ignition on. Release button. Instrument cluster should enter self-test and actuate all CCD controlled indicator lights. If any indicator light did not illuminate, go to next step. If all indicator lights illuminate, system is functioning correctly.
- Remove instrument cluster and inspect suspected indicator light bulb. Replace bulb(s) as needed. If bulb(s) is okay, replace instrument cluster.
