Courtesy Lights Inoperative (Except Front Doors)

  1. Remove and inspect inoperative bulbs. Replace defective bulbs. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS. If all bulbs are okay, go to next step.
  2. With bulbs removed, using DVOM, measure voltage between B+ circuit of courtesy lights socket and ground. If voltage is greater than 10 volts, go to next step. If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair open in B+ circuit. See ILLUMINATION/INTERIOR LIGHTS article. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
  3. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Body Control Module (BCM) C1 connector. See Figure . Using DVOM, measure resistance of Yellow wire between BCM C1 connector terminal No. 24 and courtesy light connector. See Figure . If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair open in Yellow wire. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
  4. Replace BCM. See BODY CONTROL MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
