Chime Inoperative At All Times

Possible causes are:

• ACTUATES OK
• BODY CONTROL MODULE CHIME INOPERATIVE

Turn ignition on. Close all doors. Using the DRBIII(R), actuate the chime. Does the chime sound when actuated by the DRBIII(R)? If the chime operates as it should, check for other reasons that the chime is inoperative. See SYMPTOM IDENTIFICATION  table under RETRIEVING & CLEARING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST VER 1  under VERIFICATION TESTS. If the chime does not operate as it should, replace the Body Control Module. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST VER 1  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
