All Doors Fail To Lock

Possible Causes:

• DTC's Present
• Key - In Ignition Switch Shorted
• Door Lock Relay Output Circuit Short To Ground
• Door Lock Relay

Testing

1. With the DRBIII(R), read DTC's. Are there any Power Door Lock related codes present? If yes, see POWER DOOR LOCKS/RKE  for related problems. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  . If no, go to next step.
2. Close both front doors. Insert the key in the ignition switch but do not turn the switch on. Does the Chime continue to sound? If yes, see CHIME  for related symptoms. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  . If no, go to next step.
3. Remove the Door Lock, the Door Unlock and the Driver Door Unlock relays from the Junction Block. Measure the resistance between ground and the Lock Relay Output circuit in the Lock relay connector. Is the resistance below 1000.0 ohms? If yes, repair the Lock Relay Output circuit for a short to ground. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  . If no, replace the Door Lock Relay.
