Air Bag Indicator Inoperative
NOTE:
Air bag indicator will not illuminate during instrument cluster self test. Air Bag Control Module (ACM) will command indicator on when ignition is cycled from Run to Start.
Possible Causes:
- Instrument Cluster
- Airbag Indicator DTC
Testing
- Using scan tool, select BODY and MIC, then read DTCs. If AIR BAG LIGHT OPEN or AIR BAG LIGHT SHORTED exists, perform appropriate diagnosis and repair. If AIR BAG LIGHT OPEN or AIR BAG LIGHT SHORTED does not exist, replace instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
