Latch - Control Assembly: Removal

Remove the liftgate insulator pad. Refer to BODY/LIFTGATE/LIFTGATE INSULATOR PAD - REMOVAL .
Disconnect the electrical connector.
Disconnect the outside handle link from the latch. (Fig 1 )
Open the plastic retention clips and separate the latch cables from the control assembly.
Remove the three bolts and remove the control assembly. (Fig 2 )
