Latch/Guide Plate: Removal
- Remove the liftgate insulator pad. Refer to BODY/LIFTGATE/LIFTGATE INSULATOR PAD-REMOVAL .
- Remove the three bolts attaching the latch and guide plate to the liftgate. (Figure )
- Remove the latch.
- Squeeze the cable retainer clips and remove the cable housing from the latch assembly. (Figure )
- Disconnect the latch cable from the latch lever and remove the cable.
