Power Liftgate System: Liftgate: Installation

  1. Position the liftgate on the vehicle and a the witness marks.
  2. Install the hinge screws at liftgate and tighten to 28 N.m (20 ft. lbs.).
  3. Connect the wire harnesses and the was hose.
  4. Install the trim panel. Refer to INSTALLATION  .
  5. Install the prop rods.
  6. Close the liftgate and check for proper latching and alignment. Adjust as necessary. Refer to BODY/LIFTGATE/LIFTGATE - ADJUSTMENTS  .
