Manufacturer recommends using Chrysler's Diagnostic Readout Box (DRBIII®) scan tool and body diagnostic procedures to check power door lock system components. See BODY CONTROL MODULES - GRAND CHEROKEE
article. If DRBIII® scan tool is not available, the following test can be used but results may not prove conclusive in diagnosis of power door lock motor(s).
NOTE:
Driver Door Module (DDM) may be referred to as left front power door lock/window switch. Passenger Door Module (PDM) may be referred to as right front power door lock/window switch. DDM circuitry controls output to driver front power door lock motor only. PDM circuitry controls output to power door lock motors for remaining doors and liftgate.
