Section 9 (6.1L Engine (Service Information)): Cover-Structural: Removal

  1. Remove the engine mount bolts (3).

  2. Install engine support tool # 8534 (1).
  3. Raise engine to gain clearance for dust cover removal.
  4. Remove the bolts attaching the structural dust cover to the transmission and the oil pan.
  5. Remove the structural dust cover from the vehicle.
