Installation-3.0L Diesel
- Clean all sealing surfaces.
- Position and install thermostat housing Tighten bolts to 9 N.m (80 lbs. in.).NOTE: Inspect condition of all clamps and hoses, replace as necessary.
- Connect coolant hoses and vent hose.
- Install bracket for fuel line.
- Close coolant drain.
- Install engine cover.
- Connect negative battery cable.
- Fill coolant system to proper level with appropriate coolant mixture. See STANDARD PROCEDURE . WARNING: Use extreme caution when engine is operating. Do not stand in direct line with fan. Do not put your hands near pulleys, belts or fan. Do not wear loose clothes.
- Start engine and inspect for leaks.
