Generator 2.8L VM: Removal: Removal

WARNING: Disconnect negative cable from battery before removing battery output wire (B+ wire) from generator. Failure to do so can result in injury or damage to electrical system.

1. Disconnect negative battery cable at battery.
2. Disconnect field wire connector (2) at side of generator by pushing on connector tab.
3. Remove B+ cable output terminal mounting nut (1). Disconnect terminal from generator.
4. Remove generator drive belt. refer to COOLING for procedure.

5. Remove two upper generator mounting bolts (1).
6. Remove two lower generator mounting bolts (2).
7. Remove generator from vehicle.
