MODULE, Compass: Installation: Installation

1. Position the Remote Compass Module (RCM) (2) into the bracket on the upper side of the headliner (1).
2. Install the RCM retaining screws (4).
3. Connect the electrical connector (3).
4. Install the headliner assembly. Refer to Body/Interior/HEADLINER - Installation .
5. Connect the battery negative cable.
6. Perform the Compass Variation Adjustment. Refer to Electrical - Message Systems/Overhead Console/CENTER, Electronic Vehicle Information - Standard Procedure .
7. Perform the Compass Calibration. Refer to Electrical - Message Systems/Overhead Console/CENTER, Electronic Vehicle Information - Standard Procedure .
8. Verify proper compass operation.
