Programming The Win

NOTE: The wiTECH software level must be at the latest release to perform this procedure.

NOTE: On vehicles equipped with the Sentry Key Immobilizer System (SKIS), when the Wireless Ignition Node (WIN) is replaced with a new unit, a diagnostic scan tool MUST be used to initialize the new WIN and to program at least two Sentry Key FOBIK transponders before the vehicle can be operated.

CAUTION: Read all notes and cautions for programming procedures.

NOTE: Have the vehicle PIN readily available before running the routine

CAUTION: If the PCM and WIN are replaced at the same time, the PCM MUST be programmed before the WIN.

Connect a battery charger to the vehicle.
With the wiTECH diagnostic application, perform the following steps:

Select "WIRELESS CONTROL MODULE (WCM)"
Select the "MISCELLANEOUS FUNCTIONS" tab
Highlight "WIN REPLACED"
Select the "Start Misc Function" button
Select "NEXT"
Enter the PIN when prompted.
Select "NEXT"
Verify that the PIN number is correct
Once verified select "NEXT"
Select "NEXT"
Note On-Screen instructions and select the "FINISH" button
Cycle ignition key after the successful routine completion.
