3.8L Engine

1 - MOUNTING BOLT
2 - THERMOSTAT HOUSING
3 - THROTTLE BODY ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR
  1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
  2. Remove air filter housing. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL
  3. Drain cooling system down below the thermostat level. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  4. Disconnect throttle body electrical connector (3).
  5. Remove radiator upper hose at thermostat housing (2).
  6. Remove thermostat housing bolts (1) and thermostat housing (2).

    2 - THERMOSTAT
  7. Remove thermostat (2) from thermostat housing (1).
  8. Clean both sealing surfaces.
