The Heated Seat Module (HSM) (1), also know as the comfort seat wheel module, is a microcontroller designed to use the Controller Area Network (CAN) IHS data bus messages from the U-Connect Touch™ screen module to operate the front heated seats, front vented seats and the heated steering wheel, depending on how equipped. The HSM has multiple electrical connector outlets (2) and three retaining tabs (3 and 4) that secure it to a bracket mounted to the underside of the front passenger seat.
