Tray, Battery: Removal: Removal

- Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
- On diesel engine equipped vehicles disconnect the vacuum connector (3) and electrical connector (1) from the diesel vacuum valve (2).

- On diesel engine equipped vehicles lift the diesel vacuum valve bracket (1) up disengaging the mounting tabs from the receptacles (2) in the battery tray.

- Remove the battery. Refer to BATTERY, REMOVAL .
- Remove the four bolts (1) and one nut (2) securing the battery tray (3) to the left frame rail (4).
- Lift the battery tray out of the engine compartment and remove from the vehicle.
