Section 187 (Engine Cooling System): Engine: Thermostat: Installation: 5.7/6.4L

- Position the thermostat and housing (2) on the front cover.
- Install thermostat housing bolts (1). Tighten the bolts (1) to 13 N.m (115 in. lbs.).
- Install the radiator hose onto the thermostat housing (2).
- Fill the cooling system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Connect negative battery cable.
- Install the air intake system. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, INSTALLATION or BODY, AIR CLEANER, INSTALLATION, 5.7L or BODY, AIR CLEANER, INSTALLATION .
- Start and warm the engine. Check for leaks. Refer to DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING .
