HALF camera module (Forward Facing Camera - FFC) - The front camera module (HALF) is a component located behind the rear view mirror in contact with the windscreen. The HALF is a visual spectrum camera that helps determine the type of object detected by the ACC radar, located in front of the vehicle. HALF is the primary module for the Lane Departure Warning system. HALF transmits data to the ACC sensor over a dedicated CAN-C operating at 500 kbps.
NOTE:
HALF provides the input for the automatic SMART BEAM high beam headlights
