Left Fuel Rail

WARNING:

No sparks, open flames or smoking. Risk of poisoning from inhaling and swallowing fuel. Risk of injury to eyes and skin from contact with fuel. Pour fuels only into suitable and appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothing.

  1. Install the fuel rail (1). Tighten bolts (2) to 25 N.m (18 ft. lbs.).
    NOTE:

    Fuel tubes must be replaced anytime they are removed.

  2. Install the high pressure fuel rail tubes. Refer to TUBE(S), FUEL, INSTALLATION .

  3. Position fuel rail return line (2) and connect to fuel rail.
  4. Connect the fuel rail pressure solenoid harness connector (1).
  5. Install the intake manifold. Refer to MANIFOLD, INTAKE, INSTALLATION or MANIFOLD, INTAKE, INSTALLATION, 5.7L or MANIFOLD, INTAKE, INSTALLATION .
  6. Connect the negative battery cable.
  7. Start engine, allow to warm, turn engine off and inspect for leaks.
