- Align the slot (2) in the phaser (1) with the dowel on the camshaft.
CAUTION:
Never attempt to disassemble the camshaft phaser, severe engine damage could result.
- Position the phaser (2) in place and install phaser retaining bolt (1) and tighten to 98 N.m (72 ft. lbs.).
- Install the timing chain and sprockets. Refer to CHAIN AND SPROCKETS, TIMING, INSTALLATION, 5.7L .
