WARNING:

Do not open the radiator draincock with the system hot and under pressure because serious burns from coolant can occur.

NOTE:

It is not necessary to discharge the air conditioning system to remove the radiator.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the engine cover.
  3. Remove the air cleaner body assembly.
  4. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  5. Drain the cooling system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  6. Remove the front tires.
  7. Remove the inner splash shields.
  8. Remove the front bumper fascia.
  9. Disconnect the lower radiator hose.
  10. Remove the two lower fasteners attaching radiator fan shroud to radiator.
  11. Disconnect the Charger Air Cooler (CAC) hoses from CAC.
  12. Disconnect the CAC from radiator.
  13. Lower the vehicle.
  14. Remove the grille.
  15. Remove the upper radiator hose from the radiator.
  16. Remove the remaining fasteners attaching radiator fan shroud to radiator.
  17. Remove the radiator fan/shroud assembly.
  18. Disconnect the radiator fan motor wire harness connector.
  19. Remove the fasteners attaching AC condenser to radiator. Reposition AC condenser.
  20. Unclip CAC from radiator remove radiator assembly by lifting it up from the engine compartment. Care should be taken not to damage the cooling fins and tubes during removal.
