Section 198 (Steering System): Pump: Installation: 2.8L-Diesel

  1. Install the pump to the vehicle.
  2. Install the three bolts (2) securing the pump (1) to the engine and tighten to 47 N.m (35 ft. lbs.).

  3. Install the power steering hoses (1, 6). Tighten to 28 N.m (21 ft. lbs.).
  4. Install the power steering pulley to the pump.
  5. Install the three bolts (4) securing the pulley (3) to the pump (2).
  6. Install the serpentine belt.

  7. Install the air inlet tube (1).
  8. Install the air cleaner box.
  9. Refill the power steering fluid and bleed the system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
